Abstract
Letter from Edwin L. Barrett (Littleton, Halifax Co., North Carolina) to Nancy Barrett describing improved health, plans to give her $100 or $200 a year and make annual trips to New England because of increased salary, plans to stay in the South to save travel and relocation expenses and because of his improved health, engagement to take charge of a female school in White Sulphur Springs the next year, and approval of Ellen and Edwin’s deciding not to adopt a child.
